Laurentian Net Suggested Preamble
Please note that "italicized" words are net control directions and not part of the preamble.

-Good evening and welcome to the Laurentian Net. 

-This net meets every evening on 3.755 Mhz at 6:45pm Eastern Time. 

-The purpose of this net is to pass information and traffic, and liaises with the Ontario Phone Net for this purpose. All stations are welcome to check in, and to listen along for the direction of the net control station.

All station are requested to remain on frequency for the duration of the net, but if that is not possible please inform the net control station before leaving the frequency. This will allow the the net control station to pass all of the listed traffic at the beginning of the net, if those stations who have the traffic listed on the net can not stay for the duration of the net.

-Your net control station for this evening is VE3______  my name is _________ and I'm located in/near
  ___________. 

-The net will now standby for any stations having Emergency, Priority or Welfare traffic.  (PAUSE)

-Are there any mobile or portable stations?   (PAUSE) 

- Are there any stations wishing to check in aand leave early?  (PAUSE)

-Are there any stations wishing to list formal routine traffic or who have business for the net? (PAUSE)

- The net will aknowledge those stations who helped hold the frequency for the net.

-Are there any stations wishing to check into the net, with or without traffic, please call VE3____  (PAUSE) 

Continue to log and record all checkins, until you are satisfied that no more stations are forthcoming.

-Hearing no other checkins I will now close the net.
